It was at San Diego Comicon 2004 where I stopped by and got an autographed copy of one of his artbooks. Nice guy, and he appreciated my comment to a comment from someone he was having a conversation with...Guy: "I like how you draw [Brandy Carter, one of the main characters of Liberty Meadows]...you really brought voluptuous brunettes back into style."
Me: "What? WHAT!?!?!? Voluptuous brunettes, OUT of style!? From whence does this lie originate!?"
Frank, turning on Guy: "Hey, yeah! What the heck are you talking about 'out' of style?"
And so it went, and he sketched an "Uncle Frank" monkey and his signature inside my book while we commiserated a bit on full-bodied and dark-haired women.
