Breakfast Granola for 7/2/10

Another entrant into how LOST should have ended:

Breakfast Granola for 6/23/10

Maggie Grace (aka Shannon Rutherford in LOST, and Kim Mills in Taken) was pretty hot when she wasn't pretty annoying. So, I have to admit she's awfully hot all of a sudden when she's not being marooned, killed, or kidnapped.

Mmm...cake

Breakfast Granola for 5/27/10

Our LOST angst is justified: io9 has a report card of 50 questions that went unanswered. A quick 10 that caught my eye:
[....]

2. How come the island heals people? Why does it heal them selectively? UNANSWERED

[....]

10. Was that the Smoke Monster telling Ben and Locke to move the island, back in season four? If so, why did Smokey want the island moved? What did moving the island accomplish exactly? UNANSWERED

11. Why was Libby in the same mental hospital as Hurley? What's her deal exactly? UNANSWERED

[....]

14. What was so special about Walt? No, really. They made a big deal out of it and everything. UNANSWERED

[....]

16. Why is Aaron so important? Why wasn't Kate supposed to raise him? UNANSWERED

[....]

18. What was the Dharma Initiative really up to on the island? What was their ultimate goal? UNANSWERED

Why did the Hanso Foundation regard the Dharma Initiative as a failure? UNVERIFIED

[....]

21. In the "flash-sideways" universe, the island is under water. When exactly did this happen? UNANSWERED

[....]

23. Why did Ben and Widmore hate each other quite so much? Why couldn't Ben just shoot Widmore in the face that one time when Ben came into Widmore's bedroom? UNANSWERED

[....]

26. How did Richard and the Others decide whom to recruit from among the various people who came to the island after that? UNANSWERED

What was the deal with all those lists? UNANSWERED

The lists weren't lists of Candidates, since the Others didn't try to recruit Sawyer or Jack. So what were they? UNANSWERED

[....]

35. What was the deal with Pierre Chang having so many wacky pseudonyms? UNANSWERED
They're all quite good questions, and most all of them quite unanswered. The LOST finale remains very unsatisfying to me.

LOST: Major Spoiler!

Breakfast Granola for 5/24/10

Six seasons of LOST, and the question nobody asked was, "Do they allow smoking in heaven?"

Breakfast Granola for 5/13/10

The most awesome part of this video is that Jimmy Kimmel got Mark Pellegrino and Titus Welliver to appear in character as Jacob and Blackie No-name...

Last night's episode of LOST gave me a headache.

Possible LOST spoiler?

From io9:
There's a new press release for the final episode, which mostly just summarizes what's already happened. But this paragraph, summarizing the season so far, is interesting:
The final season has also introduced the concept of flash-sideways, portraying two parallel universes. The scenes on the island depict a universe where the bomb failed to detonate and the survivors remained, whereas the flash-sideways show a world where Oceanic 815 landed and the passengers never ended up living together. However, destiny appears to be drawing them together regardless as their lives end up colliding despite the reversal of history. Indeed, following a recent meeting with Charlie (Dominic Monaghan), Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) starts to feel as if he has led another life before and plans to ‘awaken' the other passengers on Oceanic 815 – starting with crashing his car into Locke as he crosses the road.
Our first confirmation that the two universes are divided by whether the bomb went off? (I mean, it seemed sort of obvious, but it's never been stated.)

LOST episode posters

Ever-awesome graphic design site Abduzeedo gives us this:
These are episode posters that designer Gideon Slife has come up with. I chose to show you the best in my opinion, but at his flickrstream you will find many more until the 4th season. I hope you all enjoy these. Cheers! ;)

Mostly harmless

Smokey the Smoke Monster looks way less intimidating in cartoon form. Michael Blaine Myers, Jr. speculates on the Saturday morning/afterschool afternoon incarnations of the LOST cast.

If you're lost, find a map. And if you're LOST...you can still find a map: The Cartographic Wonders of Lost Island.

For as detailed as the creators tried to make the world of LOST, it's interesting to note that while not all maps agree on all locations -- either through lapses in continuity, or ambiguity or misinterpretation -- there's still some consensus.

So, if you're at the Pala Ferry Dock, how long does it take you to return to the Barracks after your shift at Pearl Station?

Things that make you go hmm

LOST is on tonight. Image related. All of that island malnutrition (and magazine retouching) obscured that Evangeline Lilly had a booty quite so.

Finding LOST

This isn't anything you couldn't read about on LOSTpedia (where I got the image), but there's a visualization of pre-815 relationships that makes this aspect of LOST easier to digest. Still missing some names and connections for yet more connections, so I hope this is a work in progress or leads to more of such charts.
